In the cooperative deck building game Zoic Zoo, time travel is possible. The players choose roles and then set about building a zoo of prehistoric animals and money-making facilities. Players buy cards from the market to better fulfill their roles. The collectors add time machines and collecting gear to their deck so that they can go back in time to collect the animals of their choice. The builders buy habitats, acreage and facility cards that can then be built in the zoo. Each animal and facility brings in visitors and research. At the end of each round, the revealed animals back in time shift, and some are hidden and new ones are revealed. Once all the animals have been revealed, game play ends. Goals that change according to the number of players and the number of animals collected, are then compared to the number of visitors and research that was brought in by the players’ zoo. If the players reached or exceeded these goals then they win.
